How to install?!

Are there any instructions of how to install yaml_31_090120.zip package?
Standard installation via Joomla "install" gives me the following error
"Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package."
in readme I found a note that I need to grab the "yaml" folder from this archive and upload to FTP
but I can't find the destination folder for this package.

So, how to install the latest version of YAML?!

Hello,
you have downloaded YAML alone, but for Joomla you need JYAML.

Yeah Rienhard's right. You need the JYAML for Joomla.. Joomla is useless without that.

OK, I am having a similar problem. ???

I have tried the combined Jyaml download and also the seperate components as well as the install via the component.

In all cases the template is refusing to install with the message

"Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package."

Which is odd given that I have looked inside the package, and the correct xml file is there.

Any ideas what is up?

can you install other extensions?

This is a issue with the zlib (archive) extensions on webserver i think.

A solution is to re-archive the downloaded zip on your local computer and try again to install.

I can install other components, and a de-archive, re-archive, intall with the template gets the same error message.

if you set all directory permission writable?
Look for there at "Help -> System -> Directory Permissions"

JYAML installation used following directorys:
administrator/components/
administrator/language/
administrator/language/*
components/
language/
language/*
plugins/
plugins/system/
templates/

Cache, Log and Tmp directory must by writable too.
