How to change the size of the columns?

Hello,
i want to change the size of the columns in the left and right of the templates. I tried to change some of the values it in the ".css" files, but i probably wrong because i didn't see the adjustment...
How must i do for change the columns?

Forgive me if wrong some words: i am italian.

Hello,
You must edit the values (width and margins of #col[x]) in your basemod.css.
